Password V1.0
*-----------*
Written 14Dec 92
By Malcolm Harvey
OSV2.0+
Usage: Will run from WB or CLI although you would only really
use the Latter.
Put the Program (Password) in you c directory of your HardDrive,
And in your startup sequence just after Iprefs and before the
commodore version msgs type password in there.
Scripts:You will find two files 1) Name.config and 2) Pass.config which
both have to go into your s directory. These two files must have
exactly the right format or it will fail. (WARNING..make sure
you get the format right for the two files).
The script files both have the same formats.
In the name.config this is where you would put all your users who
can have access to the computer(s) that you are using. And in the
pass.config this is where you put the passwords for the users.
The user and password names can also be in any order you like.
The user/pass scriptnames are as follows.
Every user name must end with a + eg:
david+
michael+
etc and after you have entered all the user names you
must end the script file with a # eg:
david+
michael+
#
So the program knows where the end is.
There is know limit to the user(s) and pass(s) you can have.
Also you can use upper/lower case names/passwords etc, so as to
be more secure.
Note: Although the program will Protect an AutoBooting HD, you can still
boot on a FloppyDisk and get in that way. Maybe CBM will inplement
a system with V3.0 O/S+ one of these days.
Also it was written for an interlace screen in mind, so may look
a bit strange in lo-res.
Bugs: None
Author: If you like this program or and if you have any suggestions
